Don't miss
Tamin Lipsey describes returning to practice after injury and professional uncertainty, then taking on the emotional and practical work of leading Iowa State again.
The brief
Tamin Lipsey recounts the path from an NBA summer-league opportunity, injury and surgery to Iowa State, where he is rebuilding trust and preparing to lead again.
Lipsey’s return carries more than sentimental weight: Iowa State is still processing its NCAA tournament loss and weighing how far this season’s group can advance.
Blake Buchanan says the Cyclones cannot replace departed stars one-for-one; rebounding, facilitation, offensive boards and late-game execution must come from several players.
Jamarian Bateman frames his larger opportunity around defense, rebounding and winning plays, while Killian Toure stresses communication and mentorship during his recovery.
Dom Plata describes a more physical, confident sophomore season and the possibility of pairing with Buchanan, as younger Cyclones absorb familiar program standards.
