PodLume Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PodMAX AI Inc. ("PodLume," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the PodLume iPhone app, the PodLume website at podlume.ai, related web applications, and associated services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and limited technical information needed to operate the Services.
- Account information. This may include your email address, login credentials, account identifiers, and authentication details when you create an account or sign in.
- Subscription and billing information. We receive subscription status, transaction verification data, and purchase history needed to confirm your subscription and enable paid features. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are billed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions bought on our website are billed by Stripe, which collects your payment details directly; we receive a customer identifier, your email address, and your plan, its status and its billing dates. We do not receive or store your full payment card number from Apple or Stripe.
- User content. This includes content you create or submit in the app, such as highlights, notes, titles, questions submitted to the agent, support requests, and similar content.
- Playback and activity information. This includes listening progress, playback session state, last resume position, episode interactions, and related usage needed to power features like continue listening, highlights, and sync.
- Push notification and device information. If you enable notifications or if the app registers for push delivery, we may collect your push token, app bundle identifier, notification authorization state, app version, iOS version, and device model.
- Website and early-access submissions. If you submit a form on our website, we may collect your name, email address, podcasts you listen to, workflow preferences, learning goals, campaign attribution details, and related submission metadata.
- Website analytics information. Our websites use analytics that may collect information such as pages viewed, how you arrived (referring site and campaign tags), browser/device information, and similar website interaction data (see Section 4).
2. How We Use Information
We use information we collect to:
- create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and secure access to the Services;
- provide app features such as playback, highlights, transcripts, search, exports, agent responses, and subscription entitlements;
- process and respond to support requests, questions, and feedback;
- send service-related communications such as verification emails, important account notices, and product notifications;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
- measure and improve the performance of our public website and early-access funnel; and
- detect abuse, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following situations:
- Service providers and infrastructure vendors. We use third-party providers to host the Services, send email, support authentication flows, process payments and subscriptions (Apple's App Store and Stripe), deliver push notifications, and operate website analytics.
- Platform providers. If you use Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, Apple in-app subscriptions, Apple Push Notification service, or pay on our website through Stripe, those providers will process data according to their own terms and privacy policies (Stripe's is at stripe.com/privacy).
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect users, our Services, or our rights.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
4. Analytics, Cookies, and Advertising
Our websites (podlume.ai, app.podlume.ai and trends.podlume.ai) use Google Analytics and
our own first-party analytics to understand how people find and use PodLume. When
analytics is allowed, we store these cookies on podlume.ai: a random visitor identifier
(pl_vid, 13 months), a session identifier (pl_sid, 30 minutes),
and how you first and most recently arrived, such as the referring site, the landing page
and campaign tags (pl_ft, 13 months; pl_lt, 90 days), plus
Google Analytics cookies (_ga, 13 months). If you create an account, we link
that visitor identifier and your first and most recent arrival to your account, so we can
see which pages and campaigns lead people to sign up.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask first, and none
of these cookies are set unless you accept. Elsewhere they are on by default. You can
change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of our pages; the
choice is kept in the pl_consent cookie for 13 months. Cookies that sign you
in and protect your account are always used, because the Services need them.
The PodLume iPhone app sends a random identifier for your installation with its requests, which we use the same way. We do not use the app for cross-app tracking or third-party advertising, and we do not sell personal information to data brokers.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the reason it was collected.
6. Your Choices
- You can choose whether to enable push notifications in your device settings.
- You can choose whether to submit optional information through support forms or website forms.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription bought on our website from your account page, through Stripe's billing portal, and one bought in the iPhone app from your Apple Account's subscription settings.
- You can stop using the Services at any time, and you may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, subject to applicable law and operational requirements.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will investigate.
9. International Use
If you use the Services from outside the country where our systems are operated, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
11. Contact Us
