The episode’s sharpest institutional clash comes when the WNBA rules Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White ineligible because they are men while its commissioner declines to define woman.
The brief
John Bickley and Georgia Howe open with Britain’s deployment of Royal Air Force aircraft to Saudi Arabia, where Iran-backed Houthi attacks have raised regional security concerns.
France is extending nighttime curfews after riots and looting injured more than 1,000 police officers and produced thousands of arrests, intensifying debate over the government’s security response.
The U.S. segment combines a disputed investigation involving Ilhan Omar with an Ohio campaign attack ad and an administration claim that more than 300,000 visas have been revoked.
The episode then turns to Christina Applegate’s account of an MS misdiagnosis and a WNBA eligibility dispute involving Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White.
Two international stories close the sweep: an alleged vehicle attack that reportedly cost Helen Haines a leg, and Alberta voters’ decisive rejection of independence.
