Don't miss
Adam Schefter’s injury update turns the episode’s broad Week 2 overreactions into a more consequential discussion of player availability and team outlooks.
The brief
Pat McAfee’s panel opens from SoFi Stadium by sorting Week 2’s biggest swings, including hot starts, disappointing teams, quarterback play, and early MVP arguments.
Michael Irvin argues that limited preseason action may leave players less prepared for game-day chaos, tying the league’s injury wave to football preparation.
Adam Schefter updates injuries involving Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Aaron Donald, and Puka Nacua while surveying unsettled quarterback situations around the NFL.
Dan Orlovsky helps sharpen the debate over elite quarterback play as the panel evaluates Justin Herbert, the Chargers, Chicago’s weather-affected offense, and Travis Kelce’s intelligence.
After revisiting Dallas, New Orleans, Denver, college football, and late fan overreactions, the group splits on Giants-Rams: most take New York plus the points.
The episode’s central tension is whether Week 2 reveals durable team truths or merely supplies premature narratives before injuries and quarterback decisions reshape the season.
