Don't miss
Alex Gibney explains how Musk’s alliance with Trump expanded the documentary’s scope from billionaire mythology to direct political power.
The brief
Chris Hayes opens with Trump’s remarks about Iran attacking Los Angeles and San Diego, then asks whether vulnerable Republicans will condemn language that could damage them before Election Day.
The House discussion maps possible Democratic gains across competitive districts, while Jamie Raskin links Trump’s taxpayer-funded promotional ads and alleged self-enrichment to broader questions about corruption and accountability.
A dispatch from Senator Chris Murphy’s Iran-war reporting raises questions about damage to the U.S. embassy in Qatar, military preparedness, wartime profiteering, and the need for independent congressional oversight.
Alex Gibney discusses Musk, a nearly four-hour documentary that challenges the billionaire’s self-created mythology and examines how power, obsession, trauma, and politics shape his public behavior.
The interview turns personal as Gibney describes testimony about Musk’s relationships, children, contracts, and nondisclosure agreements, alongside the risks of challenging a billionaire allied with Trump.
