Victor Wembanyama blocks six shots but shoots one for 13 as Oklahoma City controls the matchup and exposes his offensive growing pains.
The brief
Philadelphia’s road win over New York becomes a test of star roles: LeBron James’ defense, Joel Embiid’s influence, and the pressure on Tyrese Maxey and Jalen Brunson.
Detroit’s 22-point comeback against Boston captures the NBA’s new volatility, with Javante Green’s shooting, Jalen Duren’s interior play, and Cade Cunningham’s impact reshaping the game.
Matt Ishbia defends Phoenix’s engaged ownership, continuity-first roster building, and championship ambitions while discussing Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, expansion, and NBA Europe.
Oklahoma City’s 116–104 win over San Antonio turns on Chet Holmgren’s aggressive defense, multiple bigs, and the Thunder’s response after Holmgren was knocked down.
Victor Wembanyama still controlled the defensive end with six blocks, but his one-for-13 shooting exposed an offense that lacks a dependable go-to move.
