TopicHeard in 2 episodes across 2 shows since Jul 2026
Brain uploading, also known as mind uploading or whole brain emulation, is a hypothetical process in which a brain scan is used to completely emulate a person's mental state in a digital computer. The computer would run a simulation of the brain's information processing, allowing it to respond in essentially the same way as the original brain and sustain a sentient conscious mind.
